I am accredited with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and have worked across a variety of professional settings. I have served as a staff counsellor with the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and as an affiliate counsellor with several UK Employee Assistance Providers (EAPs), supporting both Government departments and the private sector. I have maintained a private practice since 2001 and volunteered with the Young Persons Advisory Service (YPAS) in Liverpool. My experience also includes working with the British Association for Performing Arts Medicine (BAPAM), providing counselling in a GP surgery, offering online counselling, supervising at the Speke-Garston Domestic Violence Project, and designing and delivering therapy-related workshops.
I use a variety of therapeutic approaches tailored to each individual. In Person-centred counselling, I believe that given the right conditions, everyone can experience growth and work towards realising their full potential. This approach relies on the relationship between counsellor and client, with the counsellor offering congruence, acceptance, and empathy, without directing or interpreting your words. It empowers you to find your own solutions and achieve a more authentic way of being.
I also integrate Solution-focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), which helps you reflect on moments when you have overcome challenges, highlighting what already works in your life and identifying available resources. This approach focuses on small, manageable steps that move you forward.
Additionally, I use Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), an alternative therapy inspired by acupuncture principles but without needles. Mindfulness meditation, which has proven benefits, is another tool I incorporate. Inner Child Work allows exploration of childhood experiences and “re-parenting” earlier versions of yourself, while Clean Language and Symbolic Modelling help identify and work with your “Metaphor Landscape,” enabling you to acknowledge and process thoughts and feelings that are otherwise difficult to express.
I provide a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can feel safe to explore your thoughts and feelings. My approach is grounded in empathy, respect, and genuine connection — with a touch of humour when it helps.
Whether you’re facing a specific challenge or just feel that something isn’t quite right, counselling offers a confidential space to reflect, increase self-awareness, and move toward a more authentic and fulfilling life. Together, we focus on self-discovery and finding solutions that work for you, rather than giving advice or telling you what to do.
I am an English-speaking in-person and online counsellor offering a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings safely. Accredited with the BACP, I bring extensive experience across private practice, government, and workplace settings. My approach combines person-centred counselling with solution-focused techniques, mindfulness, and other therapeutic tools to help you reflect, grow, and find your own path forward.
