I am a Danish Psychologist working integratively, drawing from the emotion-focused approach as well as compassion-based approaches, and theory on how we are attached in our relationships. I have worked in the field of counselling and psychotherapy in Aarhus since obtaining my psychology degree. After my degree I studied the effect of psychotherapy at University of Aarhus and at the Paracelsus Medical University in Salzburg, where I have a close cooperation with Professor in Psychotherapy and Synergetics, Günter Schiepek. I work as a clinical psychologist and is supervised by a range of other experienced Psychologist such as family psychologist Heidi Agerkvist and Michael Jensen. My areas of specialty include stress, depression, sorrow, anger, relationship issues, couples work, and family relationship issues. I have a master’s in clinical psychology and a Doctorate in Health psychology. I am a member of the Danish Psychological Association and abide by the Ethical Standards for Nordic Psychologist.
I aim to create a safe environment for you to explore your issues and I will by listening and reflecting your perspectives, help you create clarity on what you feel and how you can navigate your life from here on. I am extremely passionate about helping people and I know from both science, but also first-hand, that therapy has a significant effect in peoples lives. A love listening and creating perspective and believe that everyone should have the access to this type of help. I believe that the work you do together with me, can empower you to make the changes in your life, towards the goals and longings you have for your future.
Apart from my passion as a psychologist, I am the mother of two children and a wife. I spend my spare time in the garden, being active in renovating our house and seeing family and friends. I am a fan of all sciences and will relax when reading or watching science books or documentaries.
