I am a psychologist and psychotherapist specialised in therapy for children, teenagers and parenting. For the few past years, I have continued to specialise in helping children and teenagers find their identities and working with LGBTQ+.
Since obtaining my degree, I have worked in Venezuela and Spain in different institutions such as hospitals, associations and schools; and in private practice attending people of different ages and with different issues. I have worked as a therapist for teenagers at risk of social exclusion and have been part of a Day Hospital with children with different mental disorders. I have also worked as a Therapeutic Companion for the past two years for adults and I am a founding member of “Asociación Alea”- https://asociacionalea.com/
I use a psychodynamic and psychoanalytic approach in therapy. I believe that through understanding and listening carefully to patients, there is a way to help mitigate their symptoms and find alternative ways of positioning oneself in life in order to alleviate one’s suffering. My job is to help to guide towards a better understanding of each person’s situation.
I obtained my degree in psychology in Venezuela and I continued my studies in Madrid, where have done several MAs. I have been living in Madrid for the past 12 years. I also lived in The United States of America for many years.
I am a Private English-speaking Psychologist in Madrid, Spain specialized in psychological therapies for children, teenagers and parents.
Overall
Katherine is so helpful. She really listens and gives amazing advice. I feel better and I am using some great ideas she has shared that have really helped my progress. I would highly recommend booking a session with Katherine if you are able to!
