My Credentials:

I am a registered member of BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) with registration number 397067 and hold a voting membership in FETE, an organization (Federation of Existential Therapists in Europe), as well as, a full member of PAP (Pancyprian Association of Psychotherapists). With over a decade of experience, I’ve been providing confidential counseling and psychotherapy services to individuals aged 14 and older.

My educational background includes an MSc in Existential Psychology and Psychotherapy from the New School of Existential Psychotherapy and Counselling (NSPC) in 2014. This program has equipped me with a solid foundation in various therapeutic approaches, including Humanistic, Existential, Phenomenological, and Integrative approaches, enabling me to tailor my methods to suit each client’s unique needs.

I have also undergone training in multiple therapeutic modalities, including person-centered, psychoanalytic/psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and meaning-centered psychotherapy, particularly in the context of cancer care providers. This diverse training enables me to offer an integrated approach to address the specific requirements of each client.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with several non-governmental organizations (NGOs), gaining extensive experience in dealing with clients facing a broad spectrum of issues. These issues include addictions, anxiety, depression, family relationship challenges, domestic violence, anger management, bereavement, victims of abuse, identity crises, trauma, eating disorders, prisoners, and immigration-related concerns. This wealth of experience has further developed my skills and allowed me to adapt my therapeutic approach to meet the unique needs of each individual.

Currently, I am in the process of advancing my expertise by pursuing additional training in Family Systemic Therapy and Emotion-Focused Therapy. This commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth underscores my dedication to providing holistic support to my clients.

With my background, education, and unwavering commitment to delivering compassionate care, I am fully dedicated to helping individuals on their journey towards improved well-being. If you have any specific questions or require more information, please don’t hesitate to ask.

About Me:

I am a Cypriot woman, who grew up as an expat resident in the middle east. By the time I was 24 years old, I had acquired my BSc in Psychology from Kent University, UK.

Having lived on three diverse islands while growing up, and being exposed to people from various cultural backgrounds worldwide,  it sparked my curiosity about life and human nature, which led me to pursue psychotherapy and counseling in my master’s degree.

I continued my studies in London at NSPC – New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling, where I found my true calling. I was particularly drawn to existential philosophy and phenomenology, which I still use in my practice as a psychotherapist today, in combination with other approaches. It was clear to me that psychotherapy suited my enquiring nature into my own and other people’s hearts, minds, and souls. Since then, I began a very demanding but rewarding journey into people’s inner world, as well as my own self-discovery.

Summary:

I am an English-speaking therapist in Cyprus experienced in working with adults, older adults, couples, families and teenagers.
