I am a licensed psychotherapist based in Stockholm, Sweden, with more than 20 years of clinical experience in psychotherapy and mental health care. I work with individuals and couples experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, identity-related concerns, emotional crises, and long-standing psychological patterns that affect everyday life, work, and relationships. My background combines extensive clinical experience with ongoing psychoanalytic and psychodynamic training. Over the years, I have worked in psychiatric services, psychotherapy centres, and private practice, while also remaining involved in teaching, supervision, and international psychoanalytic communities. This has shaped a therapeutic approach that is both reflective and grounded in practical clinical experience.
The foundation of my work is psychodynamic psychotherapy, informed by psychoanalytic, relational, and mentalization-based perspectives. I am interested not only in symptoms themselves, but also in the underlying emotional dynamics, relationship patterns, internal conflicts, and life experiences that may contribute to psychological suffering. Therapy, in this sense, becomes a process of developing greater emotional understanding, psychological flexibility, and a more stable sense of self. I value a therapeutic process that allows complexity and depth without becoming unnecessarily distant or abstract. My style is attentive, thoughtful, and professionally engaged. I aim to create a therapeutic environment where difficult emotions, vulnerabilities, and recurring relational patterns can be explored with honesty, curiosity, and psychological safety. I also have extensive experience working with more complex and long-standing psychological difficulties, including personality-related issues, psychosomatic symptoms, emotional regulation difficulties, and relational patterns that may affect intimacy, self-esteem, or professional functioning.
My practice is particularly suited for adults seeking a reflective, depth-oriented, and professionally grounded therapeutic process within a confidential and psychologically informed setting. I work with individuals navigating experiences of isolation, adaptation stress, identity questions, relationship difficulties, or the emotional impact of migration and major life transitions. I understand how these experiences can influence one’s sense of belonging, emotional stability, and relationships with others. Some clients come to therapy during periods of acute crisis, while others seek a deeper and more sustained process of self-understanding and personal development. The first sessions provide an opportunity to explore the reasons for seeking therapy, reflect on current difficulties, and consider together what type of therapeutic work may be most helpful.
