I hold a BA Honours in Psychology and a Bachelor of Education. I am also an Accredited Member of ACCPH and have completed additional professional training in relationship and intimacy work, sex and couples counselling, trauma-informed support, the PLISSIT-R model, traumatic incident reduction, EFT/TFT tapping, suicide and self-harm awareness, and counselling children and adolescents. My professional background includes many years of experience in education, learner support, communication, psychoeducation and emotional wellbeing. This background has shaped my way of working: calm, respectful, practical and focused on helping clients better understand themselves and their relationships.
My approach is warm, structured, respectful and practical. I aim to create a safe, non-judgemental space where individuals and couples can explore sensitive topics openly, without feeling blamed, rushed or dismissed. In relationship and couples work, I help clients slow down difficult conversations, recognise recurring patterns, strengthen communication, rebuild emotional safety, and explore what is needed for repair, reconnection or clearer decision-making. In intimacy-focused work, I support clients with concerns including differences in desire, emotional distance, sexual confidence, shame, trust, betrayal and infidelity, and the impact that stress, past experiences, parenting, relocation or relationship conflict can have on intimacy and connection. I work within a counselling and psychoeducational scope and do not diagnose or provide medical or psychiatric treatment. Where a client’s needs fall outside my scope, I support appropriate referral to a psychologist, psychiatrist, GP, emergency service or other suitable professional.
I am a relationship and intimacy counsellor supporting individuals and couples online. My work is particularly suited to people seeking calm, thoughtful support with communication, emotional connection, intimacy, betrayal recovery, relationship transitions and the pressures that life changes can place on a relationship. With a background in both psychology and education, I value clear explanations, practical tools and compassionate guidance. I believe that many clients do not need to be judged or simply told what to do; they need space to understand what is happening, find language for what they are experiencing, and receive support in making healthier, more informed choices.
I am an English- and Afrikaans-speaking relationship and intimacy counsellor offering therapy to individuals and couples experiencing relationship difficulties, emotional disconnection, communication challenges, intimacy concerns, and relationship transitions. Sessions are offered online, making support accessible to clients living abroad, relocating internationally or managing busy schedules.
