I am a Medical Doctor (M.D.), a Research Scientist (Ph.D.), and a Licensed Psychotherapist (Psy.D.), officially registered in the Provincial Register of Doctors and Surgeons of Milan, as well as in the special bar of Psychotherapists of Lombardy (No. 42349). I obtained my degree in Medicine and Surgery, followed by a doctorate in Translational Medicine from the University of Milan. My doctoral research bridged the critical gap between scientific discovery and clinical application. Subsequently, I specialized in psychoanalytic psychotherapy at the School of the Italian Society of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, based in Milan. This dual medical and psychological training allows me to approach mental health from a comprehensive perspective, honoring both the biological and emotional dimensions of human suffering.
My therapeutic style and my way of working are deeply influenced by the unique needs of the people in front of me and by the nuances of their current situation. I am not someone who believes in a rigid methodology or simply telling people what to do. My clinical experience has taught me that true healing comes from collaboration. I believe that asking the right questions, actively listening to feedback, and working closely together to support your needs is the most powerful tool I possess. This cooperative environment fosters a strong therapeutic alliance, which ultimately leads to genuine relationships, self-discovery, and profound, lasting change. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space for this vital work to unfold naturally.
Professionally, I am a Licensed Physician and Psychotherapist with over 15 years of experience spanning clinical settings and mental health innovation. I have proven expertise in delivering evidence-based, short-term interventions (CBT, DBT, ACT) and developing digital health solutions tailored to complex psychiatric conditions. Previously, I also served as an Assistant Professor of Dynamic Psychology at the University of Milan.
On a personal level, I strongly believe that a balanced life is vital for mental well-being. When I am not in the clinic or engaged in research, I deeply value my time spent recharging away from work. Living in Lombardy, I love taking advantage of the outdoors, whether that means hiking in the nearby Alps to clear my head or spending a quiet, reflective afternoon near the lakes. I am also an avid reader—particularly of contemporary fiction and historical biographies—which I find continually broadens my understanding of the human experience. To unwind at the end of the day, I enjoy exploring Milan’s vibrant culture and practicing my own form of mindfulness by cooking traditional Italian meals at home.
I provide specialized clinical care that thoughtfully combines the depth of psychotherapy and psychoanalysis with the rigor of medical science. My approach is grounded in translational science (Ph.D.) and over 15 years of dedicated clinical experience. I work with individuals and couples seeking deep structural change or the effective management of complex symptoms related to personality, anxiety, trauma, and mood. By integrating current translational research with empathetic clinical care, my ultimate goal is to help you achieve a more resilient, balanced, and fulfilling life.
