My interest lies in exploring the links between past experiences and present realities, uncovering patterns, and allowing the hidden to surface. Originally trained as a psychologist, I have pursued an MA in communication and an MSc in Counseling Psychology and Psychotherapy. Following the completion of my personal analysis and seminar attendance, I’ve transitioned into the role of a psychoanalyst, joining the Société de Psychanalyse Freudienne (SPF, Paris) as a practicing member. As such, I offer both in-person and online therapy sessions in English, French, and Arabic. Through my private practice and through work in Counseling Centers and with NGOs, my specialization has been in crafting secure environments where individuals can explore their inner worlds, gaining insight into their emotions and thoughts. My focus is on nurturing emotional health and personal development, supporting individuals across diverse cultural landscapes. Central to my practice is the commitment to creating a non-judgmental space where clients feel heard and supported. I have expertise in addressing anxiety, trauma, grief, life transitions, gender identity challenges, modern families, and LGBT+ issues. Additionally, I facilitate group psychotherapy, fostering a collaborative healing environment.
Embarking on a therapeutic journey is an odyssey of self-discovery and growth, whether within the comfort of in-person sessions or the convenience of online meetings. It’s a sanctuary where trust, respect, and acceptance flourish, nurturing a space free from judgment. The psychoanalytic process helps recognize and explore emotions, treating them as vital clues to our inner worlds. By embracing both the logical and emotional aspects of our experiences, we gain a more comprehensive understanding of ourselves, and our connection to the external world finally unfolds. Through therapeutic work, patterns and triggers are identified, bringing abstract notions into the light. As your therapist, I would invite you to expect this journey to unfold gradually, as the result of a collaborative effort between us, marked by open dialogue and exploration. Together, we will navigate emotions, thoughts, and experiences, laying the foundation for a supportive relationship. Through this alliance, you will uncover insights, develop coping strategies, and foster resilience, creating a roadmap towards healing and personal evolution.
Based between Athens and Beirut, I have worked over 15 years in media, now fully dedicated to mental health as a psychoanalyst. I am deeply intrigued by people’s diverse stories, cultural richness, life’s small joys, and sustainable living. In my academic pursuits, I am involved with research focused on modern family structures, particularly interested in the Coparenting Alliance Model (CAM). The model explores a unique configuration between members of LGBT communities and allies who may identify as heterosexual or non-heterosexual, wherein non-intimate and non-residing partners come together to start and raise a family collaboratively. I am eager to connect with individuals who are already part of this family dynamic or those contemplating it for themselves, as I am able to provide valuable advice based on academic research and practical insights. By engaging with members of the CAM, I hope to foster a community where shared experiences and knowledge contribute to the well-being and success of modern families pursuing this alternative path.
Summary: Psychoanalyst, based between Athens and Beirut, engaging predominantly with adults, couples, and groups (all 18+) who speak English, French, and Arabic. I offer both online and in-person therapy.
